A hemorrhoid stapler, also known as a stapled hemorrhoidopexy or stapled hemorrhoidectomy, is a surgical instrument used in the treatment of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are swollen veins in the rectum and anus that can cause discomfort, bleeding, and other symptoms.
